My document has been updated; do I need an official translation again? Quite often, documents which are required of you from official bodies have an expiry date. Criminal Records checks and Inhabitant’s Registers are just some examples. This means that you may have to request these documents multiple times and even have them translated multiple times.
In most cases the only thing that changes in these updated documents is the date or a security verification code, for example. This means that, even though the translation you requested for the previous, now obsolete, document is still valid, the original document is not. Therefore, you will need to get the new updated document translated too. Most translators however, if they have already translated the document once, are willing to simply issue an updated “official copy”. Remember that the only official copy of a translation is one which has been issued by the sworn or certified translator and that unofficial copies of translations are generally not accepted.
It may be a bore to have to pay for a copy or even an update copy, so that is why here at CBLingua-Malaga we try and give you the best price we can. The price for most copies of translations which have already been made (even updated copies if there are no major changes to the original documents) is quite minimal compared to a full original translation. However, prices change depending on the language and you may find that some copies of translations for some languages are more expensive than others.
